I was probably 1200 feet, maybe a bit more, from the starting line (1/8th mile plus 1/4 shutdown)? Could have used a 2x adaptor to shoot the line (takes lens from 400 to 800mm), but my focus was from the finish line forward. The starting line shots were just test shots.
