The smoke was out of the East on Friday evening (blowing down the track). The camera does what it is supposed to do, take an accurate picture of what is there.
This shot would normally be a throw away but it is a good example. The "after" picture is where black was added to thee picture. It is also a throw away but also is a good example of how to adjust shots with this type of smoke.
