About 60% of these images should not have been put online. The wind was blowing the smoke towards the camera. It was also an unusually dark night. I’m wondering if when it gets humid outside if the lights are not as bright. To get better light so the picture wasn’t too dark, I dropped the shutter below what the safe level for drag racing is. Many images are not sharp but help tell the story of the evening.

If you want sharp images, come during the day races when there is light. I do not like using a flash on the camera at the starting line. A flash generally prevents taking a series of pictures also.
